Experience the historic 7 Village taste
7 Village Noodle House trailed from a humble beginning. In 1956, Mr Lim was hawking the Koay Teow Th’ng (or “flat rice noodle soup”) door to door on tricycle (三轮车).
As the traditional tricycle hawing became a sunset business, Mr Lim started a small stall in front of his house. The stall was located at the district called “Seven Furlong” (七廊), hence, the name “Seven Furlong Koay Teow Th’ng” (七廊粿條湯).
In 1988, business expanded to a two-shop lot premise in Raja Uda.
It is becoming a trend that Penang hawker food slowly evolves into restaurant and café style. In September 13, 2007, the old-school “kopitiam” undergone a total revamp to a modern space with 144 open air seats and54 air-conditioned seats café, now known as “7 Village Noodle House”.
The famous 7 Village Koay Teow Th’ng soup base is prepared using pig bones, which makes it sweet and tasty. The smooth and silky Koay Teow noodles, added with meat slices, chicken strips, fish balls and special traditional recipe minced pork just makes it irresistible!
There is a wide variety of tasty local favourites, such as bread toasts with eggs, braised pork, chicken soya sauce, chicken legs, fried nuggets, vegetable soya sauce, and more. Some of the traditional snacks, such as “Lobak” and “Kuang Jiang” will bring you travelling down memory lane.
